Uganda Gorilla trekking safari experience in Bwindi forest National Park is spectacular and the most incredible adventure one can have in life. Trekking into the jungle for a few hours feels like nothing once you reach the reward.
Gorilla trekking Uganda in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes trekkers to the thick forest, hiking through the slippery trails without support except from the tree branches and a hand stick, having to avoid the thorny trees, all just sums into an amazing experience dubbed gorilla trekking.
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing about what to do and not do while on a Gorilla trekking Uganda tour. After the briefing, you will set for the trekking in very thick vegetation. Trekking gorillas in Bwindi forest Uganda is quite challenging as it involves moving over rugged terrain of steep slopes and valleys. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2 – 8 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited.
On meeting the great giants of the forest during your Gorilla trekking safari, tourists spend one magical hour watching them carry on their normal lives, juveniles and black backs jumping from one tree branch to the other and Silverbacks aggressively watching over their troops. Trekkers that are not in a good health condition are not allowed to trek the gorillas since these apes are very susceptible to human contagious diseases like flu and cough.
The best gorilla trekking safari Uganda add on-s are the Batwa cultural encounter, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mutanda and Lake Mulehe experiences.
