Chimpanzee habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: People always ask themselves whether why chimpanzees are not habituated in all sectors of Bwindi National park and yet the park provides better conditions for both of these giant primates in Uganda to thrive in.  Although the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park habits both, most of the travelers tend to cites gorillas when they hear of Bwindi National Park and this can be attributed to little documentation about chimpanzees which have made them be overshadowed by the famous gorillas. It is the interest of African adventure vacations to write about Chimpanzees in Bwindi and why they are not yet habituated as mountain gorillas as most of our travelers frequently ask.

The Chimpanzee Habituation involves travelers to move with researchers and experts into the forests to see how a certain chimpanzee family in the wild is tamed to be used with people without fear in the forest. The habituation process makes chimpanzee groups especially those that are not in close contact with people around them. Travers on nature walks for these primates find it interesting and such habituation experience is available in places such as Kibale Forest National Park. What is true and the fact is that Bwindi Impenetrable National Park has got a lot of wild chimpanzees that can be trekked like the way mountain gorillas are being trekked. It is here that our travelers ask why is it that then they are not habituated in any section of this park? There are several reasons for this are the reason that ranges from easy visibility of chimpanzees, planning of the government. These given submissions are possible reasons and not factual reasons since the research is still in progress to establish the actual reason for this.

In Uganda, there are good better places with more chimpanzees compared to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Most of these primates are in Budongo Forest, Kibale National park, Maramagambo as well as another forest in Uganda with more chimpanzees in thousands compared to Bwindi National park.  This means that in such forested with more concentration of chimpanzees, they can be habituated and leave some in their natural habitat instead of habituating few that are found within in Bwindi Impenetrable National park.

Further, Bwindi Impenetrable National park is most difficult of all other parks that have chimpanzees. For example, Kibale National park is on low forest attitude while the latter is on high a highland altitude and this brings the stifle and the other the fact that chimpanzees are mobile creatures, trekking them in Bwindi is somehow strenuous. Additionally, Bwindi ecotourism being recognized ecotourism center, those could inhibit habituation since conservation principles are maximally respected in this fragile environment.

Conclusively, the Chimpanzee habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park are not done partially because of the above-articulated reasons. We are waiting to see if researchers together with the government can come up with a clear strategy of habituating them in times to come.
