Day 1: Birding in Kampala City

Meet and greet our company representative and your birding driver guide for briefing. Later start your trip with full day bird watching experiences in Kampala including Makerere University, Bahai Temple and around the Shores of Lake Victoria in Munyonyo. Major bird species you are likely to see in Kampala include; Hooded Vultures and Marabou Storks, Long-Crested Eagle, African Open-Billed Stork, Hadada Ibis , White-browed Coucal, Northern Grey-headed Sparrows, Red-billed firefinches bob, giant Eastern Grey Plantain Eater, Grey-Crowned Crane, Woodland Kingfisher, Great and Long Tailed Cormorants, Cattle and Little Egrets, Pink Backed Pelicans,Pied Crow among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Yellow Haven Lodge

Day 2: Birding in Entebbe City

Have breakfast and drive to Entebbe to continue with your 4 Days Kampala, And Mabamba Bird Watching Safari in Uganda. Start your journey with birding at Lutembe bay to see a variety of bird species such as White-faced Whistling-duck, Goliath Heron, Fulvous Whistling-Duck, Purple Heron, Common Squacco Heron, Pygmy Goose, long-toed Plover, Grey and Black Headed Herons, African water Rail, African Jacana, Striated Heron, Black Crake, Swamp Moorhen, Yellow Billed Duck, Allen’s Gallinule. We will later drive to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre to spot several species like Shoebill, Northern Brown Throated, the African Fish eagle in captivity, the Giant Kingfisher, African-paradise flycatcher, Black Necked, Swamp Flycatcher, Broad-billed Roller, Olive-bellied Sunbird, Orange Weaver, Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill, Vulturine and African Fish Eagle, Verreaux’s Eagle-owl, Great Reed Warbler, Red-chested Sunbird, Ross’s Turaco, Splendid Starling, Pied Hornbill, Crowned Hornbill, Open-billed Stork, Grey-caped Warbler, Sedge Warblers, Pale Flycatcher, the rare Northern Masked Weaver along with the Golden Backed, Grosbeak, different races of the Bag lafecht Weavers, a number of flycatcher species such as the Black-and-white Shrike-flycatcher, Lead colored, Red-bellied Paradise-flycatcher, African Blue Fly catcher. After drive to your booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Via Via Hotel.

Day 3: A visit to Mabamba Wetlands

Have an early morning breakfast and head to Mabamba swamp which is the best area to spot shoebill stork in Uganda. You will also see other bird species in Mabamba wetlands like

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Via Via Hotel

Day 4: Bird Entebbe Botanical gardens and Zikka forest

Have a cup of coffee and drive to Entebbe botanical gardens which is a home to hundreds of plant species. This botanical garden is also a home to over 206 bird species both forest and shore birds such as Palm Swift, Little Swift, Marsh Sandpipers, Green Crombec, Common Green Shank, Bare faced go-away-bird, Long-tailed and Great Cormorants, Madagascar Bee-eater, Orange weaver, Superb sunbird, Golden and Yellow backed weavers, Ross’s and Great blue Turacos, White spotted Flu tail, Grey and Brown Parrots. You will also have an opportunity to see some primates like the Black and White Columbus and Vervet Monkeys among others. Later drive to Zikka forest to spot more unique birds, animals and beautiful butterflies.
