Double gorilla tracking Adventure tour involves trekking gorilla twice in Uganda and is very good to the individuals who are looking for an exclusive mountain gorilla tracking experience. This gorilla tour in the Bwindi national park is designed for visitors who are interested in tracking mountain gorillas two times on two different days and with two different gorilla families.

Double gorilla tracking / trekking in Uganda provides a unique opportunity to observe differences in behavior and group dynamics between two different gorilla families. The length of tracking may be different with unique challenges that can make the experience even more memorable. This gorilla package comes with two different activities after each of the two gorilla tour experiences. One is going for a cultural tour and community walk to the to learn about the culture of the people of Uganda. After the second gorilla tracking experience, visitors will have an opportunity to visit lake Bunyonyi for canoeing.

Gorilla trekking is carried out in four major sectors and each sector harbors different gorilla family. There are 35 gorilla families in Bwindi where 13 are habituated and 22 are not habituated.

Gorilla trekking is the main targeted activity in Bwindi where visitors spend one hour observing and photographing the endangered species. There are about 1000 mountain gorillas left in the world with Bwindi harboring above 400 of them therefore being the best gorilla trekking destination in the world.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to Kampala City

Up on your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be met by our company representative and safari driver guide for meet and greet then transfer to your reserved hotel for refreshments, briefing about your tour and checking in for relaxation. Dinner and an overnight.

NB, If time allows go for Kampala evening city tour to explore the historical places of Uganda such as Kabaka’s palace and Amin torture chambers, Namugongo martyr’s shrines, Uganda National Museum, Kasubi tombs (the burial ground for the Buganda Kings one of the UNESCO’S recognized sight).

Day 2: Kampala City – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Be early for breakfast to start your road drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. During your journey you will have a brief stop at the Equator cross point for water experiment and to have a memorial photo, have another stop in Mbarara town where you will have your lunch meal plus maybe mini shopping if you please and thereafter head on. While on the road you will then be in sight of Uganda’s other amazing beauties inclusive of which is the beautiful scenery off the city. On reaching the park you will check in at the accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP – Morning Mountain Gorilla Tracking – Evening community walk

On this day have morning heavy breakfast and pick your packed lunch plus drinking water since you ought to have long hours in the forest searching for these apes. You will be expected to be at the park headquarters on time for your briefing and then start your forest walk to look for mountain gorillas. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla family that you have been allocated too. A Full hour is allowed for you to visualize the animals as they move around and react differently to your visit, during this one hour your guide will help you to know why these apes are called cousins to man. After tracking, return to the park headquarter for relaxations, refreshment and then return to your lodge. If time allows and when you are not too tired, go for an evening community walk to meet the Batwa people and their ways of like you can enjoy their cultural dances and songs as they demonstrate it all for you. Then dinner and overnight

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP – Second mountain gorilla tracking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Evening canoeing

Wake up early for breakfast and depart for morning pre tracking briefing at the park information center. Later go for your long time awaited activity “Gorilla tracking”. After your last trek head back to the car to drive off to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few African lakes completely safe for swimming and canoeing.

Day 5: Lake Bunyonyi – Morning Canoeing – Return to Entebbe International Airport / Kampala City

Wake up early enough to have your fantastic breakfast meal. There on head for the stunning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi that will allow you a view of some of the islands on this lake as you observe the well terraced hills on surrounding the lake and many more scenic views. Then you will pack up and be on your way to Entebbe Airport Kampala City to meet your return flight or spend a night in Kampala City.
