Day 1: Arrival and Transfer To Arusha

Upon arrival, meet and greet your birding guide and transfer to Arusha, check in your booked lodge, get briefing about your 5 Days Tanzania Birding Tour and relax at the lodge as you get ready for tomorrow’s activity. Dinner and overnight stay at Kilimanjaro Eco-Lodge.

Day 2: Birding safari To Arusha National Park

After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park to look for a number of birds like; Water fowls, geese, hamerkops, woodpeckers, red shark, secretary birds, spur winged goose, herons, grey parrot among others. You will enjoy a bird walking safari in a dense tropical forest while accompanied by an armed game ranger. Later drive to back to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Kilimanjaro Eco lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Have an early morning breakfast and set off at 6:30 a.m. for Tarangire National Park which is the home of over 550 bird species. Expect to spot the following birds in Tarangire national park; Kori bustard which is the heaviest flying bird, Ostrich, Secretary bird, Yellow colored love bird, drabber rufous tailed weaver peacock among others. On this day, you will encounter wildlife if you drive along Tarangire river and Silalei Swamp which are ideal places for both wildlife and bird species. In late afternoon drive to Karatu for Dinner & Overnight at Country Lodge Karatu.

Day 4: Safari To Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Have an early morning breakfast and later set off for a tour to Ngorongoro Crater in search for big fives like Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion and Leopard as well as other animal species such as Zebras, wildebeests among others.  You will also spot several birds in Ngorongoro like Ostrich, Kori bustard, Egrets, Crowned crates, Saddle billed stock, Flamingos, Guinea fowl, Black beaked Ibis, Black headed heron and much more. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 5: Bird Lake Manyara National Park

Wake up early morning for breakfast and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for birdwatching tour. Here you will have stop over at Rift valley view to spot several species of birds before heading to Lake Manyara which is a breeding home for both lesser and greater Flamingos, and a number of migrant bird species. Look out for birds like Grey parrot, Guinea fowl, Black Headed Heron, Eagles among others at lake Manyara. You may spot a variety of animals like Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo, Buffalo, Zebra, Wildebeest among others on this day. Later in the noon drive to Arusha to end your 5 Days Tanzania Birding Tour
