6 Days Tanzania bird watching safari takes you through the best birding destinations to see the most favorite African birds. You will visit Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangine National Park in search for more than 400 birds such as Ash starling, Palmnut vulture, Gray-headed kingfisher, Panganilongclaw, Raptors, Silvery-cheeked hornbill, Peter’s twinsport, spotted morning thrush, Yellow-collared lovebird among others.

You will also meet several wildlife like buffalo, cheetah, dikdik, impala, jackals, fringe-eared Oryx, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, Egyptian mongoose, Vervet monkey, warthogs, hartebeest, hyenas, leopards, lions, long-necked gerenuk, ostrich, pythons, waterbucks, wildebeest and zebra, Cape clawless otter, cheetahs, hippos, impalas among others.

Day 1: Transfer To Lake Manyara

Meet your birding guide and later drive to Lake Manyara national park which is an ideal place to spot flamingoes and many other water birds including the Ash starling, Silvery-cheeked hornbill, Peter’s twinsport, Panganilongclaw, Raptors, Gray-headed kingfisher, Palmnut vulture, spotted morning thrush, Yellow-collared lovebird among others. Day 2, 3 & 4: Birding in Serengeti National Park

After your breakfast, head to Serengeti national park for exciting game drives / birding tour. Expect to see the following birds; Black-headed gonolek, Fischer’s lovebird, Green-backed woodpecker, Grey-backed fiscal, Grey-breasted spurfowl, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, Hildebrandt’s starling, Red-capped robin-chat, Rufous-tailed weaver, Rüppell’s vulture, Southern ground hornbill, Schalow’s turaco, Silverbird, Usambiro barbet, Verreaux’s eagle, Yellow-throated sandgrouse among others.  You will also meet several wildlife including the big five lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant, rhino and other animals like the zebra, gazelle, wildebeest, antelope among others. Day 5: Bird Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Tarangire National Park, which lies to the south of the large open grass plains of southern Maasai land and the best isolated safari jungle in the northern safari circuit. Explore the panoramic views of wide savannah grasslands dotted with open acacia woodland studded with large Baobab trees to spot lots of animals and birds like African grey flycatcher, Ashy starling, Bare-faced go-away bird, Donaldson-Smith’s nightjar, Great white pelican, Mouse-coloured penduline tit, Northern pied babbler, Northern white-crowned shrike, Ostrich, Pink-breasted lark, Rufous-tailed weaver, Slate-coloured boubou, Von der Decken’s hornbill, Vulturine guineafowl, Yellow-collared lovebird among others. dinner and overnight at Eileen’s Trees Inn

Day 6: Bird Ngorongoro Crater and transfer to Arusha

Have breakfast and later drive to Ngorongoro crater which is a natural wonder and an extinct Volcano that collapsed about 2.5 million years ago to form a vast super bowl where most games gather for water and pasture. You will see slots of animals like buffalos, Zebras, black-manned lion, leopard, hyena, wildebeest, gazelle from the top of the crater. Also look out for water bird species like flamingoes, African spoonbill, Augur buzzard, Capped wheatear, Eastern double-collared sunbird, Egyptian vulture, Fan-tailed widowbird, Hartlaub’s turaco, Hildebrandt’s francolin, Kori bustard, Livingstone’s turaco, Red-and-yellow barbet, Rosy-throated longclaw, Scarlet-chested sunbird, Schalow’s wheatear, Speke’s weaver, White-eyed slaty flycatcher among others.
