8 Days Fishing Safari Murchison Falls Uganda: Fishing in Murchison falls is done mainly as a sport and is among the main activities along the Nile. It involves catching fish by casting lures; this method is used for catching larger fish species like the Nile perch and some cat fish. Murchison falls uganda is among the leading parks where sport fishing is conducted. Fishing is mainly done along the Victoria Nile which involves catching fish along rocky surfaces, the bottom of the falls mainly the Devil’s Cauldron, and at the banks of the Nile by the anglers. Fishing along the Nile is an exciting experience though you are advised to take caution of the Hippos and Nile crocodiles especially while fishing at the River banks on you Fishing Safari in Murchison Falls.
There are two major fishing sites in Murchison; one near Paraa (located below the Murchison falls) and another below Karuma falls (at Chobe safari lodge). But sport fishing in the park is currently carried out mainly at the base of the falls either from the boat down the stream or from the rocks on the River bank.
Accessing the fishing spots on your Fishing Safari Murchison Falls can either be by boat or by walking down from the top of the falls to the gorge which can take 45 minutes for a physically fit person. Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport – Transfer to your reserved hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Kampala City – Transfer to Murchison Falls NP – Evening hiking to top of the falls
After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls NP via Masindi passing traditional farms and villages. Reach Murchison Falls National Park during time to have lunch, relax after a long drive and then go for an evening hiking to the top of the falls to witness the whole Nile squeeze through a narrow gorge of about only 7 meters wide and exploding into violent waterfalls into a whirlpool about 43 meters below. The sight of this world’s strongest waterfall is breathtaking. Dinner and an overnight

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Whole day fishing from the shores
Wake up for your early morning breakfast and drive to the top of the Falls, then ascend to the bottom of the falls for another whole day fishing on the shores of River Nile, here you may have more clearer chance to catch the biggest Nile perch and other fish species in Nile. In the Afternoon have a short break for lunch, later continue with the day activity until the time you return to the lodge

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park – Whole day fishing from the shores
Wake up for your early morning breakfast and drive to the river, then descend to the bottom of the falls for another whole day fishing starting from the shores of River Nile. Later have a short break for lunch and then continue with the activity until time to return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight, common catches here are Nile perches and big cat fishes.

Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park – Whole day fishing from the shores.
Have breakfast, drive to River Nile and spend the whole day fishing using from the shores on the big rocks of the River, by good luck you may catch the Nile perch which is your main interest. However, you will have your lunch o the boat. Later in the evening retire and drive back to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 8: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning game drive – Transfer to Entebbe international Airport via Kampala.
After breakfast then return to Kampala arriving late afternoon to have lunch and transfer to Entebbe to do a tour to Uganda Wildlife Education Center to meet Cheetahs the fastest animal on land, ostriches the flightless birds, chimpanzees and it is the only place where you can meet all the big fives in one place later drive to Entebbe International Airport to meet your return flight.
