Day 1: Nairobi- Bird Lake Magadi

Meet and greet our company representative for briefing about your 8 Days Kenya Birdwatching holiday Safari. Later drive to Lake Magadi in the southern side of Kenya for an exciting birding safari in search for birds like; the beautiful Chestnut-banded Plover, Grey-capped Social-Weaver, Cut-Throat, Northen Crombec, White-bellied Canary, Blue-capped Cordonbleu, Crimson-rumped Waxbill, Grey Wren Warbler, Banded Parisoma, Von der Decken’s Hornbill, Fischer’s Sparrow-Lark, Grey-headed Silverbill, Red-fronted Tinkerbird, Straw-tailed Whydah, Taita Fiscal among others. Later in the afternoon, you will have lunch and return to Nairobi for dinner and overnight stay at Sarova Panafric Hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Naivasha

Have an early morning breakfast, set off from Nairobi for a scenic drive through the great North road to Lake Naivasha for birding. You will have a stopover at the viewpoints of the great rift valley for magnificent views. Continue with your journey to Lake Naivasha, arriving on time for bird walking safari in search for over 450 birds such as Cormorants, Pink Backed Pelicans, Herons, Goliath Heron, Jacana, Great White Egret, White Fronted Bee-eater, Saddle- billed Stork, colourful Kingfishers and Fish Eagles. Have lunch and either go for boat rides or a visit to Hell’s Gate National Park for another exciting bird watching. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Naivasha Lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru

Have breakfast and leave Naivasha for Lake Nakuru national park which is regarded as the greatest World ornithological spectacle on the Earth by avid birders.  The park is very famous for being a home to millions of pink flamingoes. As soon as you arrive at the park, check in, have lunch and go for a game drive / bird watching tour followed by a walk along the shores of the lake. You will see a number of animals like the Black Rhino, White Rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. Here we’ll have the chance to look out at some of the common species like the Lesser plus several bird species such as Cliff Chat, Greater Flamingoes, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, African fish Eagle, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans among others intra- African Migrants. Dinner and Overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 4: Birding in Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, your will set off to lake Nakuru national park for full day birding safari in search for birds like; Abyssinian thrush, Greater spotted eagle, Arrow-marked babbler, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, Bateleur, European roller, Black-tailed godwit, Black-winged lapwing, Brimstone canary, Brown-backed scrub robin, Crab-plover, Eastern imperial eagle, Grey crowned crane, Grey-headed woodpecker, Long-tailed widowbird, Great snipe, Pallid harrier, Hildebrandt’s starling, White-headed vulture, Kenya rufous sparrow, Lappet-faced vulture, Lesser flamingo, Lesser kestrel, Maccoa duck, Northern puffback, Red-capped lark, Rufous-throated wryneck, Rüppell’s vulture, Schalow’s wheatear, Shining sunbird, Slender-billed greenbul, Rüppell’s robin-chat, Sooty falcon, Speke’s weaver, Western reef heron, White-fronted bee-eater, Montane white-eye among others. On a lucky day, you may even spot the shy cat “the Leopard” and other animals of the park. Dinner and Overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer from Lake Nakuru to Lake Baringo

After breakfast, drive Northwards to Lake Baringo arriving on time for a walking birdwatching safari. Lake Baringo is fresh water with lots of bird species like the White Faced Scopes Owl, Brimstone Canary, Little Weaver, Goliath Heron, Bristol Crowned Starling, Jackson’s and Hemprich’s Hornbill. You will check in your booked lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later descend down on to the cliffs to look for the Black throated barbet, white faced Scopes owl, mouse collared tit before returning to Lake Baringo Country Club for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Samburu National reserve

Have breakfast and drive to Samburu national reserve, a destination which is commonly referred to as a place of dust-red plains, endless skies, and palm-fringed rivers. Samburu National park is destined at peripheries of vast arid desert (Northern Frontier District) whose heat-scorched scrublands stretches to the jade-green waters of Lake Turkana. Toda you will look out for birds like Somali and white throated bee-eaters, Donaldson-Smith’s Sparrow Weaver, Vulturine guinea fowl, White headed Mouse bird, golden pipit, Black capped Social Weaver, Golden Breasted Starling, Buff Crested Bustards among others in Samburu national park. You will have hot lunch in Nanyuki town before driving to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge.

Day 7: Full day birding in Samburu National reserve

Have breakfast and head to the park for whole day bird watching tour to look for bird species like; Acacia tit, Bare-eyed thrush, Pink-breasted lark, African palm swift, Ashy cisticola, Black-bellied sunbird, Red-necked falcon, Black-capped social weaver, Brown-tailed rock chat, Somali bee-eater, Chestnut-headed sparrow lark, Donaldson-Smith’s sparrow-weaver, Reichenow’s seedeater, Fischer’s starling, Golden pipit, Golden-breasted starling, Greater kestrel, Grey wren-warbler, Hunter’s sunbird, Lanner falcon, Mariqua sunbird, Northern brownbul, Spotted palm-thrus, Palm-nut vulture, Pygmy batis, Red-bellied parrot, Red-winged lark, Rosy-patched bush-shrike, Secretary bird, Chestnut weaver, Singing bush lark, Somali ostrich among others. Later in the afternoon, go for a game drive to see animals like Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo, Zebra among others. Dinner and Overnight stay at Samburu Lodge.

Day 8: Samburu – Nairobi

After breakfast, you will drive to Nairobi to end your 8 Days Kenya Birdwatching Holiday Safari with a stopover at Pampa Grill Restaurant for lunch. You may also have a city tour and the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant to enjoy barbecue before being transferred to the airport for your International flight.
