Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale national park- Bigodi Swamp Tour
Meet and greet our company representative and your safari guide for a pick up, briefing and transfer Kibale forest national park. Depending on our arrival, we may take a tour to Bigodi swamp to explore several birds and have authentic community experiences before checking in your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay. The journey from Entebbe to Kibale forest national park takes 6hours, therefore, you are advised to started your trip as early as possible in order to explore the Bigodi community in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Isunga Safari lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for an evening boat cruise.
Today wake up early in the morning with a cup of coffee and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. Later head into the forest in search for chimpanzees. During your trail, you will meet several primates such as Red-tailed Monkeys, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, L’Hoest Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, Olive Baboons, Grey Cheeked Mangabeys among others. You will as well see a number of tree species including the endangered timber trees like Cordia millenii, Entandrophragma angolense, and Lovoa swynnertonnii. You will later spot the chimps, see them play, feed and swing in the tropical forests. You will be allowed to spend a full hour with them before retiring back to the starting point.
After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for an evening boat cruise. Expect to see a number of animal species that come to the Kazinga channel to drink water like the elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, monitor lizards, hippos among others. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Buffalo safari lodge.
Day 3: Game Drives and transfer to Bwindi forest national park
Wake up early morning, have breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth national park for an exciting game drive in Kasenyi sector to look for the big mammals and other animal species. Today you will look out for African elephant, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, topi, African buffalo, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, leopard, Nile crocodile, Spotted hyena, and lion. Retire and head to Bwindi forest national park for gorilla tracking experience the following day. Upon checking in at your booked lodge either relax and enjoy the sceneries of Bwindi or take a community tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Bakiga lodge.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for briefing about dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking as well as allocation to a specific gorilla family to track. You will be put in a maximum of 8 people and later start your trail to the jungle forest in search for mountain gorillas. Upon meeting the gentle giant primates of the forest, you will be allowed to stay with them for one hour. Observe how the live, play and interact with the family members. Retrieve to the starting point and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Rock resort.
Day 5: Canoeing and Transfer to Entebbe international airport.
Have breakfast and go to lake Bunyonyi for canoeing experience. You will take like 2hours to tour most of the islands, explore their rich history before returning to the main land for a drive to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the Equator for water experience and lunch. Later embark on your journey to the airport to end your 5 Days gorillas and chimpanzee trekking safari Uganda.
